Download SB Grip Fonts Family From SelfBuild Type Foundry SB Grip is a pixelfont from the revival of bitmapped lettering that occurred during the early 2000s, as designers grappled with ways to tackle the slow loading and low-resolution internet of the day. Many pixelfonts at the time were designed for more practical text use, but there were also display pixel fonts. SB Grip is one of this type of pixel font and was designed to be layered over imagery and photography, and so has a semi-transparent treatment, at least in bitmap terms. Compared with other pixel fonts, which are often optimised to be used at 10-12px, SB Grip is a large typeface, being designed to be used at a size of 40px and multiples of 40px. It works well layered over other elements and has a pattern-like quality due to its repeating segmented design. Download SB Censor Fonts Family From SelfBuild Type Foundry SB Censor originally came out of a project centered around the theme of censorship in cinema. The treatment of the letterforms was created in Quark XPress using the built-in strikethrough text styling, which was applied to each letter individually. The individual letters were distributed in a monospaced, grid-like fashion with some letters appearing reversed out of a box and others on their own. SB Censor is this graphic treatment presented as a typeface and consists of two styles, a cameo version and the standalone version. The combination of the wide monospacing and the square background block give this typeface a lot of potential for playful layouts, especially when used with in combination with colour.
